About us

El Calero is an ambitious project, created after the purchase of the farm that gives name to Calero. Purchased in 2007 and completed the construction of the building in 2009 with an opening license on August 6, 2012. We tried to make Hotel Rural but the urban planning rules of Siero did not allow us to be in a protection zone. El Calero is a charming rural accommodation with the maximum category of room for rent. (Although the category is not the same, but the concept is the same as that of a hotel) It is rented by rooms or in full.

All rooms have a different personality and decoration. The rooms distributed on two floors, all with bathroom, are characterized by being decorated differently, personalized and enjoy a cozy atmosphere.

The Calero is located in an enclave of pure nature, in the countryside, in the center of Asturias, just 3 km from Pola de Siero, 19 km from Oviedo and Gijón and 45 minutes from the peaks of Europe.

The Calero farm is surrounded by trees, on one side of the farm the river runs, and on the other a paved county road that joins the AS-331 with the N-634, which gives access to the Calero car park . Once you reach the N-634, 800 m from Calero, there is a roundabout that leads to the A-64.

We are privileged by the location, we are right in the center of the region, where we can move to any point or excursion in the day and return.

Siero is among the most populated municipalities in the region, with 53,000 inhabitants or so. A municipality with a large business park and commercial activity.

In Pola de Siero we have a 24-hour ambulatory and medical service, banks, shops, pharmacies and all the services you can find in any neighborhood of a big city.

Meet our Executive Director

Belén assumed control of one of the family businesses with little experience in the sector. It is one of the many family projects, he devoted a lot of time to training in the tourism-hotel sector and without a time limit to its management. After new approaches, modern and dynamic, we hope to become a success and a benchmark for rural hotel tourism in the region.
